SMCC has the tables set up on either side of the dance floor. I think 6 can fit on the right hand side (looking from the fireplace) and 9 on the left hand side. It was a clear path from the fireplace to the stage area.

I would sit them in a arch. So they can see the dance floor.

I have to say circle is the most sensable way JMO
you want your guests to be able to talk so if you had an arch people would have their backs to other people
