Don't get me wrong, I think I would be fuming, too, but like I said, on the bright side, no boring afternoon. People are just like that, rude and selfish. I say poo on her.

Ooooooooooh I am having such a similar problem. My philosophy is do what makes you feel better! But, I tend to **** my family off by doing what I really feel is right!

Will you be in town that weekend? Maybe she didn't want you to feel as though you had to make the trip? Still, she should have sent an invite. I dunno, try not to stress it. (easy for me to say, I know.)

i have a similar situation - we are inviting some cousins to our wedding and they all said yea but we were invitied and then uninvited to both a communion and a christening party b/c they 'didn't have enough $' sonce the family is big....as if a wedding is cheaper....

i feel your frustration.....

I am sorry you are going through this....unfortunately I have to have certain people at my wedding I don't want to be there...I will just ignore them b/c they are not worth arguing with.

But I can understand the anger

I'm feeling ya, I have to invite some folks I don't wanna invite either! & personally (altho I know it hurts, sorry) at this point I wouldn't even wanna go to that communion & if I did get a late invite, I'd definitely be 'otherwise engaged' (no pun intended )
