Which enterance did you use, the one on Lefferets (Sp) or the entrance on the side block?

FH and I went one Saturday evening a few weeks back to inquire for a wedding and used the entrance on Lefferets Blvd. The catering office is right there with big glas doors and the BM was with another couple so we sat outside on the bench and waited. Little did we know we were in the middle of a party! A surprise party, to boot! We only realized it when someone said 'he's here!' and they scattered into the other room, Me and FH were mortified so we left.

We went back the next day and learned that the room we were in was for small showers, birthday party's etc. The halls for weddings are in the back, which you access from the side street.

It's very possible the woman who yelled was the host of a party and was upset you walked in on it.

Let me tell you, we fell IN LOVE with the wedding room! It is GORGEOUS! Def go back!!!!!!! The only reason we didn't pick them was because the didn't have our date.

I would definetly call and give them a piece of my mind. But you can't let one bad apple ruin it for you. When I called to make an appointment at my hall, the guy that answered was rude. But I knew that I wanted to see the place and met with someone who was extremely nice. I also made sure to tell them that the rude a$$ that I spoke to almost blew it for them. They were very apologetic and even offered to throw some stuff in to our package if we booked. Good Luck though.

Their food is horrendous anyways....so dont feel bad that you didnt get to talk to them and yes they are a little rude and unwilling to work on their prices. They charge the same thing day or night...not like other halls whose prices depend on day of the week and time of the day.

Definitely call and complain to the owner or manager.. This is incredible.. PPL with business should never act like that.. It soo EMBARASSING!! Plus it pushes clients away...

Hey Girls!!
This is my first post I will try to keep it short. Long story short FH and I are having a small wedding 65 people. We went to look at Villa Russo b/c a friend told us that the theme would go well with my theme Fairytale. Well I fell in love with the pics on the website and contacted them and was told by one of the banquet managers that an appt was not neccessary only that they were closed Tuesday. My FH is a PO and really his only day off is Tuesday. Anyway once we got there around 1pm we preceded to go inside when a woman came at us and was VERY rude!! She practically kicked us out and made me feel like she thought we were going to rob her or something. Her exact words were 'YOU people can't just come in here' You need an appt. and someone will get back to you after 4pm. I was so insulted that brushed her away my hand in the air said No No No I will not leave my number and walked out. I then began to cry in my car. I can't believe people with a business would actually treat people like that!! Has anyone had an experiance like that with them? I really want to call the manager and give them a piece of my mind!! What should I do?? I feel so offended!!

wowwwwwwwww i never heard that from them.. my friend had her wedding there in July and they were soooo nice an accomadating to her.... maybe you should call and ask to speak to the manager... and tell him... the inside is BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL but honestly the food suxked!! she had buffet.... maybe the sitdown is better.... the buffet was cold n dry

I second the proposal! We are using the small room at WM - there was a 60 person minimum and the room cannot hold more than 100. Plus they seem to give better prices on this room since mose weddings nowadays are so huge - they probably have a hard time booking the smaller one!

Re: Villa Russo Experiance (update!!) Sorry took long!!

Hey Ladies Sorry it took a while to post an update for anyone interested. It has been really stressful to plan this wedding in such a short amount of time. Now I finally see why so many other smart people plan years ahead (me)
anyway here is the email the owner of Villa Russo sent me himself (personally). i just wanted to let everyone know they were really nice about it afterward. So anyone looking to try them I would say go for it!! He really is a nice guy!!

Dear Joann & Danny,

My name is . I am the second generation owner/operator of the Villa Russo. I have recieved your recent e-mail. First, allow me to sincerely apologize for the way you were treated at my establishment. There is absolutely no excuse for the behavior & attitude shown you by the staff member mentioned in your complaint. We, at the Villa Russo, strive to achieve an exceptional service oriented approach to our customers, and I was simply astonished to read your comments !!

I can only extend you my apology & thank you for taking the time to e-mail me your comments. They can only assist me in correcting this aberrant behavior so out of character with what I believe we are all about at my establishment. There is probably no way I can expect to make this negative experience up to you & your fiance, but if you believe there is, I would appreciate you contacting me.

Once again, thank you for your consideration of the Villa Russo in the first place & your comments. I can only wish you & Danny much happiness in the future & extend you a personal invitation to allow me, sometime in the future, to attempt to change your now low opinion of my establishment.

Yours truly,

i took out his name JIC I don't know if I could use it....

Re: Villa Russo Experiance

I haven't picked a def place yet.... I have put all my energy on finding everything else first because FH has been working straight with crazy overtime to pay for the wedding and he won't let me go to any RH without him

I must be the only bride who has photography, videography, flowers and Limo booked before RH
Most of the places i really liked are too far from my ceremony site for a Fri eve Wedding.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience...where is your ceremony, maybe we can help find another RH?
