It doesn't sound crazy! I think that's great!

I don't know the prices of the other places, but I guess it won't hurt to call.

Good Luck!

If you like Villa Russo, and they aren't booked, I would def go to the tasting, I would also try to use in my favor as far as negotiating price and possibly extras thrown in about your negative experience the first time! Might as well! lol

I had my daughters communion at Roma View a few years ago and everyhting was great give them a try. I think it might be the same owners so maybe you can use the bad experience to your advantage. Good luck!!

My ceremony is in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn it's the church in the neighborhood I grew up in so I can't change that.
I have tried so many RH's but they are either already booked (I got engaged in Dec and getting married in June) or they are not within my budget.

Hi JoAnn,
I'm from Bensonhurst too and my parish is St. Finbar. I'm very surprised at Villa Russo's because I had my DIL's bridal shower there in 2007 in the restaurant part and it was all very nice. In fact, they added chair covers for no additional cost and the service was very good. The cake was Napoleon and was delicious. She was thrilled with it all.
Second, have you given any thought to Sirico's on 13th Avenue and 82nd Street they are always a good choice. There is also Gennaro's on 13th and 65 street that has a smaller room. And don't forget the Rex Manor.
Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

Liz

If you would like to see pictures do a search on here for the post by Nina called Finally! Pics from my shower at Villa Russo's. It should be around May June 2007. Let me know how you enjoy them.
