I am getting married there on 7/30/04. I will definitly ask about the bar being closed. I just fell in love with the place. It is so different from other LI halls. Thanks for the review.

Re: Riveria Review
A few weddings I have gone to in the past, not at the Riveria, have had the bar closed until after the toast. So everyone is seated while the toast is going on.

Re: Riveria Review
Thanks for the review. I am getting married there in Dec 2004. I have heard of one other complant about the bridal suite running out of food during cocktail hour as well, but I am sure to ask about that when I go back next yr for my menu set up and all. It is always nice to hear what others think about the place and what needs work. Thanks

Re: Riveria Review
Hi All!
My wedding was at the Rivera back on November 15th. It was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for more. We had plenty of food in the bridal suite, and the attendants were prompt and helpful thoughout the evening. As for the bar closing during the toast, I'm not too sure, but I do know that we kept the bar very busy throughout the evening, and they did a great job. Everyone is still raving about it. Good luck to all of you , and good choice!

Re: Riveria Review
Thanks for the review! I'm getting married at the Riviera in 59 days! Yikes!! It's a relief to hear good things from people who have been there.
Almost everyone we spoke to about the place (including our vendors, who were not the Riviera vendors), all said it's a great place with great food. So we'll see.
