Don't be sad. Why not ask your sister to come here because you want her to meet his family, he's in the Coast Guard so it's hard to come out there and you want her there not her money. Just tell her you feel alone and that you would love for her to be there.

Have the party! If your family can't all make it, send them pictures. This is not about them...it's about you and your FH! Don't be sad. This is supposed to be the happiest time of your life...as much as you may love your family, don't let them ruin it for you, you'll regret it later!
