I'm so sorry to hear you're in this situation. How quickly can he go about getting the waiver? Could the migraines be caused by eye strain or something relatively easy to treat?

One thing you can do is proceed with the wedding but do not apply for the marriage license. I know this sounds a bit unorthodox but a friend of mine had to do the same thing because her FH's divorce was not finalized as quickly has they had anticipated so instead of canceling the wedding they went ahead with it and filed for the marriage license once the divorce was finalized.

I am so sorry you are going through this. What type of treatment does you FH use to prevent his migraines? As a migraine sufferer I have tried SO many preventive treatments and the ONLY one that has worked without side effects is biofeed back. It is amazing...I went from having 16+ headaches a month to less than 5. Your FH can try it on his own w/o medical treatment. It is really just a form of guided meditation that help you to relax. I see a Dr. for the training but some of her training materials are on the web for free: http://www.maxalt.com/rizatriptan_benzoate/maxalt/hcp/patients/podcasts.jsp
