Hi - I'm getting married there next June so I haven't done everything yet, but I did know I wasn't thrilled with their flowers and thought about upgrading, but decided to go with my own florist instead. I'm getting a discount from S.M. for not using their flowers (only $7.00 per table but still...) I was asking about cakes because I see all these pics of pretty cakes and I don't want to be disappointed so I'll have to see what they have to offer there. For pics, I actually want to take pics around my home town just very photojournalistic style pics, but I do think that the formals we'll do we'll take at S.M. It's pretty there for formals. Cocktail hour I'm planning on having outside. No viennese hour for me. I think cake and ice cream is enough. The bridal suite was pretty plain when I looked at it - I don't expect to be spending too much time there. Don't know about candles, but probably you can because their centerpieces are in candelabra so they do use candles. Let me know what your plans are too! Like I said, these are just early ideas for me.

Well, I just went there tonight. I'm leaving the centerpieces exactly as is. (I'm spending enough money)
Cakes-The bakery they are using is Giacomo's in Lindenhurst. James (the maitre'd) said that they will make changes to the cake. All you have to do is call James at SMCC & he will find out all the info for you.
Vineese hour-I didn't ask about I don't know if they have one.
They have added some things to their menu. So I was kind of happy. And one thing they didn't have James is going to see if they can add it!!
They are so great there. They will listen to ALL your ideas.

James is wonderful. He has a lot of good ideas, and seems like he is very open to others.
I am not using their flowers, I went to an outside vendor.
Giacomo's is great! I had so much fun there and they really took care of me. I am confident that my cake wikll not only look great, but it is taste incredible (but very different).
I don't plan on spending much time in the bridal suite. It's too small!! But I don't have too much time in between so I will be out taking pictures.
