this is just my opinion - but people you have that much nerve to actually ASK if their kids will be in the BP are going to be a major headache to deal with. i foresee some major control issues - what they wear, what they carry, etc. your FH brings up a good point, too!!!

I agree. Stick to your guns on this one. I just posted something about people being such a hindarance to your wedding plans. This is a prime example believe me I'm going through something similar of what your going through. Please go with what you and your FH feel.

Sorry- but those kids are your fh niece and nephew. Maybe they picked the godfather for other reasons or because your fbil wanted him. I am sorry to disagree, I do think it was rude for her to ask like that, but I think it would be rude to put in unrelated children and not his sisters kids. JMO.

doesn't it stink? one family member has all the nerve and treats you poorly but for the sake of the family and the future, you have to do something you don't want at your own wedding! as much as you want to ask the BM's daughter, I think you should probably ask your future niece (and nephew). it's not right of their mother to ask, and it's CERTAINLY not fair to you, but it could cause a major rift down the road. only you have control over what they wear, no doubts on that!

Your SIL was very innapropriate.

I think I would put the niece and nephew in. I could not see asking someone's else's child (not a family member) to be my flower girl, when there is someone in my family that could do the job.

As much as we donot like it at times, a wedding is a blending of two families and we have to do things we do not like sometimes.

I think the butterfly wings are adorable, especially on a 2.5 year old! Her mother will have to live with them, it's YOUR wedding!

What a witch! Do what you feel is right...don't let anyone force you into doing something that you don't want to do...family or not!!!

can't you have two flowergirls? -his niece and BM's daughter? If you want her in - don't do it for his sister.

THAT IS A Bit overbearing if you ask me.
I would ask who I want not who pushes their way in. If your FH wants his bestman's kid then have him/her.
But do not feel pressured b/c of your pushy FSIL!!!

We are going through the same thing so we decided not to have a ring bearer or a flower girl. We are not using flowers at all in the wedding (except my bouquet) so it kind of makes sense anyway. I hate making the kids feel bad, but I didn't want my wedding to become a 'soap box' for my relatives & friends.

That was pretty rude of your SIL. I would still pick family over friends but I would make it clear that you have the final say all things wedding related. Why doesnt your FH want them in the BP? Is it b/c he's not the Godfather? There could have been other (unknown) reasons for him not being chosen.

I say you have whomever you and FH want in your wedding. Don't have someone's kids in your wedding because the parent wants them to be in it. It MUST be what you want!!!!!

I am having 2 FG & no RB

I think you should pick whoever you want. Pick who you wanted before your sister asked. The best mans kid sounds like the best choice, he must be really important if hes the best man. The sister sounds like too much trouble if shes included. thats very rude for her to think her kids would be picked after not making him the godfather.
