Re: Do you have BRIDAL STORE horror Stories/ bad experiences???

I will second (third?) David's Bridal and Commack Bridal - very unprofessional, outrageously rude. (I visited them as the MOH for my sister)

I recently visited Bridal Reflections in Carle Place & had an amazing time with the woman who helped me. She was extremely professional and very helpful. The Bridal Salon of Manhasset was 'OK' - when I asked their seamstress a question she answered 'can't do it' but the manager later on said 'yes we can' - I wasn't really comfortable with the seamstress saying no to a seamstress question but the manager saying yes. Screamed 'we just want your $$$' to me.

all I have to say is that I have NEVER had a good experience in ANY bridal store. I have been in numerous weddings and no matter where you go they $uck!!!!!! Of course, everyone will have some good and bad experiences at different shops, but I just dont get how a bride and her bridal party and sometimes Mom and MIL, who are spending ALOT of $$$ there get treated the way they do. Dont these people that run these shops understand the WE are the customer and we do not like to be lied to, talked down to, or generally treated like dog cr@p?????

I hope that I never had to go to another bridal store again!!!!!

Re: Do you have BRIDAL STORE horror Stories/ bad experiences???

I had a bad experience with Doris Fashion in Brooklyn. When I called them up to make an appointment, they asked when I was getting married. I told them July of 2004 (actually Sept. 2004), the salesgirl on the phone told me, you are early. Are you coming to look or to buy? If you are coming to just look please do not come now, I had brides that are coming that are getting married this year. You have time. Come at the end of this year of next year. I said to myself, do you want my business or not? So I told my mom, forget about them. I went to Valentina's in Bklyn and they were wonderful.

You're better off not going to Doris, I think they have 5 gowns in the whole store, and they are all from 1986.

Stay far, far away from Bridal Suite in Patchogue. I had a horrible experience with them and so did several other people on this board. If you do a search you will find my previous posts about my experiences with them.

Misty: I know. That is why I ordered my gown and BM dress from Valentina's.
