Thanks!

Anyone know if drinking coffee is ok?

yep, you can drink coffee with skim milk and splenda. I think they limit it to 1 or 2 a day though because of the caffeine.

Good luck!

Always keep hard boiled eggs, cheese, nuts, or veggie sticks with you!

I don't have any recipes by heart since I usually 'wing it' when I'm in the kitchen.

But a quick one that I'd do is simmer chicken broth on the stove or microwave it and add either a beaten egg or egg substitute, a little soy sauce, and chopped scallions.

My version of ghetto low carb egg drop soup.

ETA: I think they limit the skim milk a day. I know the earlier version of south beach did but there has been changes in the newer version.

For example, they used to limit tomatos because of the sugar but the updated diet doesn't limit it. WOO i love tomatoes

Oh! And this cucumber salad I can OD on.

One english cucumber sliced really thin
Half red onion sliced really thin
Rice Wine vinegar
A wee bit of sesame oil
one splenda packet
Salt
pepper
sprinkle of sesame seeds (optional)

mix all together and let sit for a few minutes for the flavors to mix.

Really refreshing in the summer! Even FH eats it and he hates veggies~!

oh, lol i guess that was when I was gulping egg drop soup like it's my job.

If you want to make the cucumber salad a meal, you can cook some shrimp or ground chicken in a pan with some seasonings like garlic or chopped onions and bell pepper, and wrap it in lettuce with some of the cucumber salad. YUM!

Boston lettuce is good for lettuce wraps!

Anney your my SBD advisor lol. Can I eat skinny cow ice cream?

You're allowed 75 cals of a sugar free treat a day like jello, pudding, sugar free hard candy.

Skinny cow is like 100-150 cals per bar/sandwich so you will be going over the recommended cal amount by a little unless you don't finish the whole thing. Not sure if they have sugar free ice cream either...I know they have a no sugar added one. Not sure if that's the same?

Re: South Beach Diet

I did South Beach like two years ago and I loved the mock french toast...I think that's what it was called. I believe it was in the cookbook. The first 2 weeks were soooo hard for me lol how are you doing on it?
