It really is so bad...I try not to watch the news about it for that reason...I dont want to see a bird or anything other animal looking like that.

I feel the same way about seeing the oil soaked birds. I want to cry everytime I see pictures... and I'm not even a huge fan of birds.

Definitely had the same thoughts about honeymoon locations with regards to the spill... who knows what could happen..

omg i absolutely can't see any more pictures. It's devastating! Makes me really angry that poor animals always have to suffer because of people.

My friend who is going on her honeymoon in January is dealing with this issue right now. She is actually changing her plans to a resort on the other side of Mexico so there is no worry from the oil spill.

It's ridiculous!!!! If it's a horrible hurricane season the slicks can come up this way and affect LI.

It's a bigger issue then anyone seems to actually care about. It's really furstrating!!!!

This whole situation is devastating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is not only destroying animals, but think about how it kills tourism and believe me when we went on our cruise to the Caribbean all of the natives were so appreciative of our business and told us without tourism they could never survive. It's more then sad what this oil spill could do.

OH and the MANATEESS... I am so upset... The manatees in Florida are the cutest, most calm creatures ever and I can see them in the water through my window when I'm there... The thought of them all covered in oil makes me wanna punch people and cry all at the same time

i'm going to be the bad guy here.
don't hate me.
yes its sad about the animals.
but there are going to be thousands of people who will not have a way to put food on the table, who won't be able to make their mortgage payments and send their kids to school. Those who will not be able to afford to go to the doctor or have their kids teeth checked for cavities. I feel bad for the animals, they are innocent in all of this yes, but the fisherman who make their livelihood from the sea did not ask for this either.
What BP did is despicable and I can't believe its still leaking and has not yet been fixed. They should be made to pay for cleaning up the mess but the millions of lost dollars in revenue and emplyee wages lost during this time. In addition, i would hope that the cost to fix the environment should be charged to them as well and ASAP, not over a monthly plan.

I agree with everyone opinion here.. animals and people alike. no one asked for this. and it is affecting everything!

I am going to Aruba in July and who knows what it will be like.

they said they wont be able to stop it for another 2 months probably! How CRAZY is that?!?!

you know, i know several people in the Navy and they all told me the same thing, that the Navy and the Marines could have taunched the flow already and have gottent this resolved and started to clean everything up, but they were not asked to do so because everyone is waiting for BP to clean everything up.
Why not have everyone that can, clean up, and then just stick BP with the bill.
This who ordeal is incredible! i don't think everyone is going to realzie until it affects them just how much of a global impact this will be!

I get misty-eyed when I watch the commercial for the dish detergent where they donate part of your purchase to help oil spill animals. I literally can't even watch coverage on this. It's dispicable that it has continued this long. My heart really does goes out to everyone who has been affected by this.
