tough situation. Honestly, I'd say that you don't want to tell people how to spend their $ but there are certain financial obligations that come along with being MOH.

wow

welll usuallythe mom pays for the bridal shower.. but 100$ is nothing. thats what 8$ a week she has to put aside? BIG FKN DEAL

I feel for you.....

When I was a BM, her mom didn't ask for any money from us (most of us were still in school), BUT the MOH 'decided' that we would all chip in and buy the bride her bedding. There were 9 bridesmaids, and it still cost everyone close to $300. We also had to chip in for wrapping paper, because MOH was too good to use the free wrapping paper Fortunoff provided (her gifts looked like crap btw).

I'm afraid to see what my BMs do for me.....ne of them has been a downer the whole time, and I know they all make money an issue. I wouldn't mind, but I go to all their parties, I buy their kids gifts for bdays and Christmas. I went to their weddings and christenings and gave generously.

Some people are not givers! They are just takers!!! It's sad to say but weddings are what usually brings that side of them to light.

I had similiar issues with my BP too!! This is Def not uncommon.

Wow, really?! She's complaining over $100???? That's nothingggg. And they had a shower for her sis for $400? Hmmm.... Was it in LI? And how was that possible??? Sounds like she's just being cheap.

im sooo sorry you have to go through this...i flipped out when i heard how much my bm's shelled out for my bridal shower ($250 each).....i couldve had a backyard bbq lol

I would be THRILLED if I only had to pay $100 for my cousins shower as her MOH!!! It seriously cost each of us over $500 per BM PLUS her gift...another $150 each!!!!

$100 is not that much...as a MOH she should have went into it expecting to spend money. How many people were at this $400 bridal shower? 15?? $400 for a bridal shower is just unrealistic.

Ive dealt with the same kind of nonesense - in the end I always end up feeling embarrassed that I have to argue about money issues! Sorry you are dealing with this...

OMG! $100 each is nothing. I can't even imagine how much my girls spent. It's this Saturday at a restaurant. How much does she think these things costed?!

Since I found out the date of my shower I have been so stressed out I always can't wait til it's over.
