The Vanderbilt in Centerport is beautiful. Not sure of pricing, but there is a site fee.

Did you try the 'Thatched Cottage'? I believe that it's in Centerport. It's very pretty and right on the water. Honestly, most of the catering halls are sort of the same inside, they have to be. The only place we saw that was really different was Stonebridge in Hauppauge, but that is nowhere near the water.

Personally, I think you can make any venue unique - it depends on you and the details you pay attention to.

It will be tough to find the most unique place on LI - it's just oversaturated with wedding places and everyone's idea of what a wedding place should look like...that they all wind up looking like carbon copies.
