Haha maybe not after I tell them that we're going with someone else! oy...

The guy we picked was the advisor for the Jewish center where we went to college. FH and I met freshman year of college and started dating senior year, and went to the Jewish center for dinner most Friday nights throughout. So that cantor really saw us come together as friends and then a couple. He really was OUR cantor.

FH has met my rabbi and cantor from home plenty of times, but only really at high holiday services. He doesn't have a real relationship with them. If they officiated for us, they would be MY clergy rather than ours.

Nah, I'll send them an email (since I won't be home again until late Dec) and explain it. I'm sure they'll understand... plus we're still planning to invite them as guests.
