Re: What would you do?

If it were me I would give her the money so I wouldn't have to hear anything about it again.

Take the dress back though just in case you do get a new BM that is a similar size.

Sorry to hear about this, it's a tough situation.

Take the dress back and see if you can get a credit for the store for one of your other Bms...Then give her the money back so you don't have to deal with all that stress

Sorry your going through this!
Honestly, I would just pay her. Get it over with and be done with it and you wont have to deal with her any further!
good luck girl!

What's that line from A Bronx Tale...

'It costs you $20 to get rid of him.'

granted this is more than $20, but until she gets it, she's going to forever hound you about it and you might as well just be done with it and you walk away the bigger person. From the sound of it, it looks like this isn't going to get resolved between the two of you.

I'm sorry you're being put through this

I told her I would pay her after my wedding. She flipped out meanwhile she made me wait over 2 months to give me the money in the first place. This person got really nasty and basically said they don't want the money and want nothing to do with me. That's fine by me.

then I say EFF her, you take the money you would have given her to get yourself a massage, and wash your hands of her. The fact alone that you were going to be kind enough to give her the money after the wedding shows how much bigger a person you are. She doesn't deserve your friendship or kindness.

Re: What would you do?

why couldnt she respond to emails?

did she want to be a part of your day?

if she did, n then she became shady, thats her problem.

if you asked her and she was shy to say no, give her the money and like the others said, shes done now ! yay

Re: What would you do?

while she is technically responsible for the dress according to most stores that sell BM dresses. i would just pick up the dress from her and give her the money back at the same time so you dont have to deal with this nut ever again. then go back to the store with the dress and see what they can do for you. you can always call ahead to find out what their policy is. but either way i'd give the person their money back bc im sure you're sanity is worth far more than $150-$250 dollars.

wait a second? did you pay for the dress or did she?
i wouldn't pay her back at all.
you asked her numerous time to be in your wedding and she initially accepted and then when you asked her in several e-mails you never responded. so now she is Sh!t out of luck!

The dress is from J. Crew and it's a 60 day return policy so it's too late for that. She doesn't want the money anymore so that's the end of it as far as I'm concerned.

ohhhh idk why i thought you were asking what you should do-give her the money back or not? i must have read it wrong oops

I bought the dress on my CC and more than 2 months later she gave me the cash for it.

i still stand by my inital statement. lay low and eff her. she doesn't deserve the money back

sorry you have to deal with this... I would say only give her the money if she gives you the dress... from what i read now she doesn't even want the $$. but i would keep it on hand in case she brings it up again to you or a mutual friends that you didn't give her the money back you can just whip it out and stick it in her mouth

i agree id mail her a check after the wedding or now if you have the $$ so that way you could get the dress back just in case.
