I honestly think the white shirt with a white/cream vest and tie looks the best for the groom in pictures... It's up to you though. Can they try suits on before you decide?

Personally that is just not my style. I wouldn't consider it ' black tie' but again only my opinion

I think it's a personal preference. I;m not fond of the idea because I like the traditional black tie (light shirt dark tie), but that's just what I like. Go and try it on and see how it looks!

I would have to see it but anything goes with black.. Maybe do a bright color on top of the black!

We just designed (this weekend) custom made suits for my FH and his groomsmen. Totally outside the box - but they are gorgeous!!!

The suits are the groomsmen gifts from my FH.

Everyone is going to look AMAZING on our wedding day!!!!

I'm having my FH wear a white shirt and ivory vest and bowtie. THe GM are wearing white shirts, navy vests, and a navy tie. I was my FH to stand out!

ITA! I have seen this done before, but more so for edgy/funky weddings...never for black tie. But if you are going for more of a stand-out/edgy look then definitely go for it!

I def prefer darker to pink! I just hate the whole matchy matchy look. IMO, it screams Prom, which I think destroys the elegance of a formal wedding.

Again, this is all IMHO....
