2 weeks before the wedding is very late to have the shower!!! Usually the shower is 2-3 months before. Im sorry you are dealing with this

i have the opposite problem haha my shower is mega mega early
I agree I would try and say something to MOH that you'd really like to have an early shower because it's easier for everyone.

i couldn't even believe they would wait to have the shower so late! all because she has to go in vacation in march. but that's not my problem and you all knew i was getting married since November '09!!!!!!

Yeah def plenty of time to plan it... I would tell them that you are NOT ok with the plans and see if they can change it!

My MOH waited too long as well and now we have to do May 1 because the room booked up I feel that it's too late for the shower too but What can I do at this point

Yes, I agree with you about the fact they stared planning everything late. Here is the thing unfortunetly, you can't expect people to be on top their S***T.

I don't see anything wrong with the April date. Their is no paper written saying it has to be 2-3 months before.
I'm getting married 5/29 and I suspect my shower is going to be either late March to mid-April. I'm just thankful I'm having a shower.

Yea way too close to the wedding, my friend did hers 2 weeks before the wedding (with the bachelorette party the day before the shower) --- I can tell you that it determined what we were able to give at the wedding. I also didn't go to her b-party because it was too much money to spend within a 3 week span.

FH knows about it so he should speak up for you.

I just feel like the people who should be the most prepared are slacking and waiting till the last minute!

FMIL STILL doesn't have anything to wear.

I'm trying to just breathe and relax. I won't stress about someone else's outfit but it does bother me

I HAD TO TAKE A DAY OFF OF WORK AND DRAG MY MOTHER AROUND AND MADE HER PICK THE DRESS I LIKED BEST.

Seriously, she was dragging her feet and indecisive and annoying the HECK out of me.

I took pics of her in 3 dresses, emailed them to FH (He was at work) and THANKFULLY he picked the same one I liked best.

Majority ruled LOL and she had no choice
