I have to agree with you only because the situation is a bit akward. Its not just one of her other friends, its someone you both know and someone you didnt originally invite which makes it weird for you... Most of the time inviting '+guest' people usually bring a date but I have seen people bring friends.

I never heard of people bringing 'friends' as a +1 Definitely stick to your guns especially since she wasn't initially invited with a plus one!
I had 2 people bring 'friends'
BUT DH's brother wanted to bring this girl I absolutely loathe... as a 'friend' not even a date.
We told him flat out she was not welcome. he uninvited her.
good stuff - I didn't invite anyone with a +1 unless I knew they were in a serious relationship - this would have prevented all of this heartache!
I am not really doing many plus ones either, I did some, that i wasnt sure about relationship status and the others i invited their bf, gf or wife, Aside from our superiors at work, single ppl are coming by themselves, with one exception we have an out of towner single young girl we invited w/ a date so shed have someone to hang with. Use common sense it will save you sooo much +1 stress

ok after reading this my answer is NO WAY! If you don't like this girl then she does not need to be at your wedding making you feel akward on your day! Tell your friend the +1 was for a Date..If she decides not to come because of it then its her loss of a great time..
