The house we were bidding on became increasingly less and less ideal as the owners kept being ridiculous about the inspection results. Even though I thought I LOVED IT, we actually decided to not go forward with our offer and took it off the table. the same day we told the sellers agent, we saw a house we both loved (Fh was only happy about the first, not in love) in an amazingly better area with more character, etc. It's so heartbreaking but it will get better!

also, after our first round of bidding/counter/rebidding, they told us 'this price or else' so we forgot about them and walked away....about a week and a half later, their agent was back in touch with us and we did the second round. you never know! good luck
