I'm Annie I am technically a 2014 bride but I spend a lot of time on the 2013 boards.. I work in a collections office part time and babysit while I go to school. I recently had a change of heart about my major and left Hofstra University where I was studying Business and in the fall will be transferring to Molloy College to study Speech Pathology. I would have remained at Hofstra, I loved the school but it was just too much money even with scholarship. I'm setting myself back a year because now all my business classes are useless but I really think that I personally will be happier having a career in SLP rather then business. It was what I originally wanted to do but changed my mind last minute and regretted it.
Speech Pathology is an awesome job. It's very rewarding work and there is pretty good demand and job security. Best of luck with the change in schools and majors. I'm a bit biased, but I think you're making a great decision!

Hi I'm Kathy. I am a Mastered Social Worker. I currently work at an adult home. I supervise the case management program. My clients all have a mental illness. I love being a social worker. It's been 4 years since I got my MSW and I have yet to take my licensing exam. And now that I am busy planning the wedding getting my license is the last thing on my mind. But I really need to focus on getting it so that I can continue to grow within the field. When I decided to be a social worker it was not to work in the mental health field but I've been doing it for almost 4 years now. I would like to work with the youth or in a hospital. I want to experience the different fields of social work.

Hi there! I'm Sara, called Faye by FH and friends. I work as online news site editor and reporter for AOL's Patch websites, under the AOL Huffingtonpost Media group. I'm usually running around taking photos, attending events, racing to fires and up all wacky hours.
FH... well... FH is working in an adult shop while he goes back to college this fall for business administration and psych. He loves sales, and would love a better sales job.
Does he get a good discount?!?!?
I'm Cassandra. I'm a buyer for a safety industrial distributor. When u see a MTA employee wearing a hard hat, my company supplied it to them. Weird I know. FH is a buyer for a computer company.

Re: Just curious
Hi I'm Carolyn. I was teaching medically fragile preschoolers at NYU Rusk Preschool, but they were forced to close due to renovations and finacial reasons. I miss teaching everyday. I now work for the courts as a Senior Court Office Assistant. I love the people I work with and I'm learning different aspects of the court. It's a lot less stressful than teaching.
My FH works in retail and hopefully get into management soon :)
I loved reading about what everyone does!

I really need to go get it. I should make it my goal to have it before I move on to another job. Since my jobs have not made it a requirement I have been sitting on going to take the test. But I really need to go do it. I'm going to try to take the test before the wedding. Thanks for the push!! lol
