I can't decide on a honeymoon

Crashing.

We stayed at the Royal in Cancun last year and had a great time. All rooms face the ocean and we always get the basic room so it was nice to be able to have a fantastic view for once! We booked through AA vacations and for air (nonstop, amazing times) and six nights it came to $2800. One thing I will say about it though: you definitely need to be a somewhat adventurous eater, and they have a lot of seafood (FH doesn't like it and I'm allergic so it's just something to be aware of). FH doesn't like when things are too dressed up so he didn't really have too many options. For example: we ordered a guacamole appetizer and when they brought it out it had a decapitated prawn sticking out of the top. Not the biggest deal to me, but FH couldn't even touch it after he saw that. The buffet always had good choices though, and their pool was the best I've ever been to in the caribbean. I've heard amazing things about Secrets Maroma Beach and Excellence Riviera Cancun (all the excellence resorts are supposed to be spectacular) so if we go back there I would want to stay at either of those two resorts.

We've also stayed at Sandals La Toc in St Lucia and it was so much fun, not much nightlife around the area but they do have shows and the bars stay open late. I would go back there again, but I would probably stay at Sandals Grande because their beach was nicer.

As for hurricane season, Aruba might be your best bet in that department since their outside the hurricane belt. You can get great off season prices for that time frame too. I'm pretty sure that either cheapcaribbean.com or apple.com includes free hurricane insurance but I'm not 100% on that.

Whatever you choose you'll have a great time, HTH!

hahaha okay. He will eat anything and I'm picky but open to trying. If we do the royal it'd be the one in Playa del Carmen since we've both never been down there, but I'm sure it's just as good as the one in Cancun.

Thanks for the input!

I think the Royal in Playa del Carmen has the same restaurants, if they do the Japanese restaurant Asiana was delish!

I can't decide on a honeymoon

If you love scuba diving Belize has the Great Blue Hole, considered one of the best scuba diving areas in the world. It's pretty incredible. We went to Belize and had an amazing time, besides water activities, you can do a jungle ATV Tour, waterfalls, horseback riding on the beach, and tons of other things. They have many all inclusive options. Check out this website for EVERYTHING Belize. i think you'd love it based on what you're saying.

I can't decide on a honeymoon

Sandals has some of the things you're looking for. We went for it because we wanted:
-honeymoon feel (no kids!)
-all inclusive
-options for nightlife.

In your case it's definitely worth looking into because I *think* scuba is included. We're doing the Antigua one.

I can't decide on a honeymoon

FH and I just (finally) booked out honeymoon at the Riu in Aruba! Can't wait!!! We chose it because it's outside the hurricane belt, the weather is almost always amazing and it had a lot of the options we wanted as well like all inclusive and FH loves the casino on site. While it's not adults/couples only, it's not as family oriented as the Occidental (runner up) and it's close to town for shopping and nightlife. Did I say I CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm obviously biased but I say Aruba. Either way, whereever you guys go, you'll have an amazing time I'm sure!
