Iceland

FH and I are dying to go....I hear the winter is the best time to see the Northern Lights. It's actually quite affordable, too. Totally on my bucket list!

Iceland

DH and I just went in March. It was AMAZING!!! We had talked about going for our HM, but that was not a good time of year to see the Northern Lights - which was what we really wanted to do. Iceland Air has great packages on their website. We did their Northern Lights/ Lobster dinner excursion package, which was great. Other excursions we did were the Golden Cirle, Blue Lagoon and Northern Lights by boat, which was unbelievable! The city (Reykjavic) is small and charming (but didn't love the food too much). Its set up to be so easy to do excursions etc and everyone is very friendly. If you want to go to see the Northern Lights, you have to chose the time of year carefully (I think Sept and March are the best months. And you want to go when the moon is at its smallest - no full moon - so that the sky is as dark as possible.)I would HIGHLY recommned Iceland! Feel free to FM me if you have any questions.

Iceland

If it's that important to you, can you put the honeymoon off for a month? I'm putting mine off since I teach summer school. To us, it was worth it. Could be an option if it saves you enough money. Either way, you're so lucky to go there ~ it looks incredible!!
