Crashing! I have only seen the entree selection on the RSVP once, and that was for an out of state wedding!

Don't' let her get to you!! It's YOUR day, and you can do whatever you like.

Our RH let's people pick at their table. However, I totally get your point. I am so tired of the 'we've never done it that way before' stuff from people!

Crashing....I agree with this!
But it's not right what she's doing. Do things the way you want and try to ignore her!

So this!!!!!
Why would she want to pick what she's eating for dinner so far in advance anyway?

How the heck are you supposed to choose your entree in advance? How am I supposed to know what I want to eat two months from now? She sounds like a jealous miserable person. when you throw your boq, hit her with it ;)
This reminded me of the episode of King of queens when the father had to pick his entree in advance at a wedding and he tried to change it the day of

This! That was popular in the 80s, tell her when its her wedding she can do what she wants!
Just ignore her unless she tries to talk to YOU about it. Then let her know that this is the way you and FH have chosen to do things.
Not to mention, the only time I ever saw it done where guests select their entree in advance was in a 'Beef. It's What's For Dinner' commercial about 15 years ago.

UGHHH, the only time you do that is if your hall needs to know in advance. It save couples money because the hall has to keep less on hand.

Tell her to s.t.f.u!!! The only wedding with entree options was my cousin's in Lancaster PA! My whole family b*tched about it including myself.

Same here! Boy is she in for some surprise when she sees a NY wedding! Don't let her bother you. Enjoy the fact that she has to wait in suspense to know what she's having for dinner until your wedding.

Thanks for all your hilarious responses! Would love suggestions for a passive aggressive way to stick it to her...maybe purposely misspelling her name on the seating cards? Seating her with FH's family (many of whom do not speak English.) :) :) :)
THIS!!!! Yes! DO it!
I can't stand people who can't keep their opinions to themselves. Maybe her seating card should just get 'lost'....just sayin'.
BTW, love your nickname SnarkySpice!

Me too. I went to a wedding in Jersey that had this on the response card and the bride was PISSED that her hall made her do it!
She sounds like a real piece of work. Sit her right next to the kitchen door and hope it hits her in the a** all night.

Haha, this reminds me of something I watched last night. On King of Queens they were going to a wedding and they had to select their dinner options in advance. Carrie's father was flipping because he selected fish and had eaten fish that week and really wanted the steak. He was trying to switch with people for steak and no one wanted to switch with him. It was really funny.
I've seen the dinner options on RSVP cards for out of state weddings, too. It's so not a big deal and it's none of her business. Just ignore her, she probably wants to start friction. When it comes to things like this for my wedding I just smile and nod.
