Have you tried asking VYC for suggestions? Also 2 of the town beaches are open to the public. Cedar and Gilgo are the ones, but I believe the come with a heavy entrance fee (compared to Robert Moses).

What about Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst? Babylon actually doesn't really have beaches by the village, they're all town beaches off the parkway or beaches by Robert Moses.
