Macy's is soooo annoying to return things - I am so glad I didn't register there. BBB is wonderful!! I got a few dupicate presents and they gave me cash back, no problems!

I registered at Macy's and I was able to return items without a receipt for store credit. I used the credit to buy things that were not bought for my shower!

We did our registries at Macy's and Crate and Barrel. They both have stuff that we like at affordable prices and designs that suits our styles/tastes. We put more kitchen stuff at C&B and more gift items, formal china, table linens, bedding at Macy's. Both have a good return policy with the receipt, both stores have scanners and legible sku# or UPC bar codes. MIL kept pushing us to go to Fortunoff which doesn't suit my lifestyle as I can't put a $350.00 platter on our registry and expect someone to buy it.
To each their own. Choose stores that you and your Fi like and are comfortable with items at prices that suit your guests' budget.
