XP DJ w/ vocalist

did anyone add a vocalist to their DJ package?
I really like the vocalist at this one company, but I'm not sure how much a vocalist adds -whether or not it really makes it a lot nicer- so if anyone could give me some input I'd appreciate it. I've only seen a vocalist once and he was horrible! Thanks!
