XP from 07: Invitation Prices

I know this is kind of personal but would you mind telling me what you spent on invitations, or what you'd consider a good price? The ones I like are running roughly $450 for the invitation, inner envelope, outer envelope w/return address, RSVPs w/addressed envelopes, and one extra enclosure card. This includes a flat fee for thermography for the printing. It'd be about 85-90 invites. Is that good? Pricy? I have no context.

I don't have the talent or the patience to DIY it, otherwise I totally would!

TIA!!

Re: XP from 07: Invitation Prices

I spent $1400 for 150 (including envelopes, response set, reception card and postage). Definitely a lot. But my husband was adamant that we LOVE our invtation because it is one of the few things that will remain after the wedding (we had it framed) and because it is the first thing that the guests will see from our wedding, so he thought it should set a tone. He's so funny. But I agreed, and I still love our invitation. So if you really love what you're getting, it's definitely worth it. I think you're getting a very good deal.
