XP: Question about when it is ok to start sending thank you notes
So we got our first gift today from someone not coming to the wedding (FH's boss). I don't know if I should send a thank you note now or wait until after the wedding and send it out then. Help!

Send out a thank you now-and if you really want to you can send another one when you get your official wedding thank yous. This is what we did

i was going to send a thank you note for my pre wedding gifts but it just did not happen ~ then I thought well then do i send another thank you note with a picture after we are married well in the end I just finished up my bridal shower thank you's a couple of weeks before our wedding

i sent out thank you's as soon as a gift came in...then sent them the 'official' thank you after the wedding. This way people knew you got their gift.
