Our church starts at 330 and should be over by 4-430. Our cocktail hour doesnt start till 630, but there is a 'hospitality hour' and a waiting room for guests to have cocktails and passed appetizers before the cocktail hour officially starts.
So, for those that come to the church, they can drive straight to the RH. However, for those that dont come to the church, what time should i put on the response card? 'Reception to immediately follow'...'Cocktail hour starts at 6'...should i mention hospitality hour??
Please help!!!
Also, how are you wording the response card? Are you writing how many seats have been reserved for each party so no one includes more people? Is this a real concern?
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Re: xpost about INVITATION WORDING FOR INSERTS
I wouln't mention hospitality hour on the invitation. I'm sure the guests who attend the cermony will hear about it by word of mouth... and the guests who are not at the ceremony don't need to know about it.... so i would just put cockail hour at 6:30... recption will immediately follow
i didn't include the number of seats. i think it should be clear from the way the invitation is addressed who's invited and who isn't... so i dont think this is going to be an issue for us.....

you should mention the hospitality hour on the insert too. this way your guests can take advantage of it. its not something your RH is giving you for free so you would want to list it on your reception insert.

I already answered on BHB, but I would put the CH hour as the correct time. I am also doing a hospitality hour for the in between, and we are putting a mention of it in our ceremony programs. I am also putting the information up on our website.

We're just passing the hospitality hour by word of mouth, and putting it in the OOT bags at the hotel. On the actual invite, it says cocktails begin at 7

I think it's a great idea that oyu are mentioning it in your program. I think it is a nice 'surprise' for your guests who actually attend your ceremony.
My response cards are going to be personalized along with the number of seats reserved for them. FH and I have some very, how do I say this, 'special' relatives, that feel they are above rules....

hospitality hour is for people that arrive before cocktail hour officially starts. the RH has a separate 'waiting room' with plush couches, open bar, and passed appetizers
