i've always played where you have to cut a piece of yarn as long as you think the mothers belly is around and the one who the closet to the actual length around her belly wins a prize!

Re: XPost: Baby Shower Question
My Mother and I hosted my SIL this summer. I was in charge of games and think I did a really good job. I made a game packet with different pastel colored paper (the sex of the baby was unknown) held together by pastel tiny clothes pins. It had all the games together and instructions. It gave everyone something to do upon arrival, it really worked out well and I got lots of compliments. We played, Sizing Mommy's Tummy, Dirty Diaper game, Gift Bingo, What's in the Jar and Guess how many. I'd be more then happy to send you the templates. Let me know if you are interested.
Good Luck!

Re: XPost: Baby Shower Question
We played 'Guess the Girth' at the shower I threw on Saturday - people enjoyed it.
I was also looking for TV moms last friday. I have a lot of them, but it turns out I was with a non-tv watching group. You wouldn't believe how many people don't know that Martha Kent is Superman's mother. I mean, come on, it's Superman! It was fun though. FM me if you want the list.

Re: XPost: Baby Shower Question
We played a few games. We handed out lottery tickets (from oriental trading) that had bottles on them who ever scratched it a got the winning ticket won a prize. Also another one was we read out a phrase from a Nursery Rhyme and they had to guess the Title of the Nursery Rhyme. My sister does not know the gender of the baby so I decided to have a footprint theme. HTH

Re: XPost: Baby Shower Question
My friends baby shower is coming up and they are having a book wishing well. They asked everyone to bring one book for the baby...for any age to start a little library for him/her.

Re: XPost: Baby Shower Question
There is a cute poem for this that we used as well.
I want to be a bright child As smart as I can be. That is why I’m hoping My Mom will read to me. If you plan to bring a card Please take another look, I would like to learn my ABC’s From your favorite story book. Please sign your name And I’ll know you’ve done your part. Some day I’ll surely thank you From the bottom of my heart.
