Does anyone know what the typical deposit is to order bridesmaid dresses?

It is usually about half. My girls' dresses came to $175. Originally she told me that they could do half, but said $100 would be better.
I would say to be safe it would be about $100.

we only left $50 as a deposit on the BM dresses a week ago. the dresses were $170 after tax.

I was told the girls would have to pay the full price out-right if they were to be ordered. If the dress was in stock/correct color/correct size, then it would be $50.
Unfortunately, with my picky taste, I was out of luck

Depends what store.. some ask for half of the dress price and others require payment in full before they will order the dress.

I think for my girl's dresses, they may have to leave somewhere between $80-$100 (there dress comes out to like $158 after taxes).
For FSIL's wedding, our dresses were $165ish and I left down a $100 deposit.

It depends. I went to Here Comes the Bridesmaid for a friend's wedding and they required at least $150 (my dress came to $212) - so I just paid the whole thing.
I think every store is different so just tell your girls to have some dough ready!

I just ordered my MOH dress for awedding that i'm in from Paradise and I had to pay 50% but she gave me a range too. The least amount I could pay and the most that I could pay.

depends on how you are ordering the dresses. i am doing the No Frills program at RK Bridal and the amount is due up front. years ago, when i had to order my BM dress at Davids bridal, they required the same thing. not sure about other stores. Last year, when i bought my MOH dress from RK Bridal, at regular price, i put a deposit down and paid for the balance when i picked it up
