I know everyone is stressed about losing and jobs and all that lately. Maybe we can start a little thread for people who are job searching (or FH is job searching) and if we hear anything, we forward it along?

I am looking for a part time after 6:00 pm job. Do they have any kind of openings then???

Keep going back to the 'Exams' section every now and again, they update it all the time. If you are not in the system already, you can only take the tests that say 'open' or 'open-competitive' next to them. Everything else is promotional from within the system.

:) and if anyone knows of any place after 6:00pm that is hiring in the Mineola area , I would appreciate a heads up. I have mostly a secreterial/administrative assistant background. ty

My DH will probably be looking for an engineering job for early summer 09. He has a bachelors and masters, and 2 years of experience.

We are probably moving back to NY after I graduate law school -- I have a job offer but he'd need to find a new job.

Anyone with leads, suggestions or anything please FM me
