(xpost from 10') Any girls get their dress in the pronovias flagship store?

I know there are a few of you on here that bought your dresses at the Pronovias Flagship store. Do they have a min. amount on alterations? When we were there for a runway show I'm pretty sure one of the women told me that it was $400 no matter what you had done.

Also, did you compare prices between that store and reg. bridal salons on LI that carry pronovias?

I'm a pronovias bride, I think they recently changed their policy because my alterations were free! I just had my first fitting yesterday.

$400 sounds resonable......I would ask them what type of bustle that includes. They tried to convince me to get an American bustle....which I hated. It's a much easier bustle than the 2 tier French I fought for.

I would clarify that it includes ANY bustle you want and have them write that down.


It's been great so far, I've worked with 2 seamstresses and would definitely recommend 1 over the other.

Also, they say it takes 9 months to get the dress in. Realistically how long did it take? lo

I would TOTALLY recommend Melfy. I initially had the head seamstress- Candy.....there was NOTHING sweet about her. She was nasty to me for losing weight and wanting a different bustle.

Melfy is a gem.

I ordered my dress in mid November and it arrived sometime in July. About 8 months. Give them an earlier date....I had given them September 6th.

Do you have a certain dress in mind?
