I don't think we can go on my DREAM honeymoon to Bora Bora...
We've gotten a few great quotes-thank you camacho!! But really, we can't afford it. For 10 nites, in Bora Bora & Moorea, staying on an over-the-water bungalow in Bora Bora for 3 nites/w/food, 6 nites in moorea- it would have been 3600 PP.
I thought it was a great quote until FH factored in food for Moorea and activites..when its all said n done..it will prob be close to 10K-
I'm really upset
I need somewhere to go now thats SORTA like Bora Bora...anyone have any ideas??

That's tough, the airfare is the real killer! Is Hawaii out of the question? Seems like it would be the closest. If you belong to AAA, you can go to their website and get great deals to HI. Otherwise, I would suggest Bali, but I don't think Bali is a good place to be right now. Good luck!

this is one of the places we considered for our HM...really nice..
The Maldive's (although breath taking) can be just as expensive as Bora Bora no?
I too had to give up my dream of a Bora Bora honeymoon. After much consideration, we decided to go with something totally different and chose Italy instead.
Bora Bora will be our 5 year anniversary trip.
Sorry it did not work out for you, I know what a disappoint it is.

So sorry that it didn't work out Jeanine! What if you do 8 nights instead of 10... that will probably bring it down a bit.
If staying in bora bora is totally out, why don't you look into a Princess Cruise around the tahitian islands or one that goes from tahiti to honolulu, hawaii. We were considering those since the price is soooo much less!
Another top choice before we booked was: Cap Juluca in Anguilla (www.capjuluca.com)

Wow these places look amazing - they are expensive though. Our dream HM was Bora Bora - but out of our price range. I know it seems cliche' but Hawaii is beautiful. We went last year to Oahu and did not have time to travel to the other islands - we are going back for 12 nights and going to Mauii and Kauai. The beaches are beautiful and it feels exotic.
Other options - go to Italy/Greece or Galapogas Islands

Try Ladera Resort in St. Lucia. www.ladera.com - that is where we are going..Good Luck, you will find the perfect spot..

WAIT!!! I think I have a solution..it was offered to me by CaMacho too What about a Tahitian cruise?? I checked the princess website and they have one leaving near my date!!!!! We might do this..and stay on an-overthewater bungalow 2/3 nites!!! WOOO HOOOOOOOOO

That is a great idea! I found that cruise a while ago, and it looked great. If you are traveling all the way to Tahiti, you might as well stay in the over water bungalows. It will be hard to take the same vacation anytime soon. Princess is a great cruise line.
