XPOST: Girls who have visited LI Vineyards...

I'm thinking about giving my Dad a wine tasting package for Christmas, like for him, me, my sis and bro to all go.

How should I go about doing this? Should I book with LI Vineyard Tours? Book my own limo to take us to a couple vineyards?
Is it ok/possible to visit the vineyards in the winter months?

i know martha clara has a private tasting rooom where you can buy the package for up to 10 people and you have a private toom, with cheese and crackers and you can taste all of their wines


but you can also do a limo that takes up to 4 people to 4 vineyards of their choice, includes all tasting fees and lunch from a really yummy deli. I forget the name of the company that does it though

I've used Elegant Limos. We went to three vineyards and they included lunch with the trip. You can def do a wine tour during the winter. Martha Clara is excellent. I like Pindar and Duck Walk too...although I hate to say this, but Duck Walk has this one really annoying employee who is really inattentive and talks extremely loudly (by that I mean SCREAMS everything she says) and kinda kills the mood.

...but the wine is good.

I've used Elegant Limos. We went to three vineyards and they included lunch with the trip. You can def do a wine tour during the winter. Martha Clara is excellent. I like Pindar and Duck Walk too...although I hate to say this, but Duck Walk has this one really annoying employee who is really inattentive and talks extremely loudly (by that I mean SCREAMS everything she says) and kinda kills the mood.

That is too funny. I was there w/ DH on Monday and there was only one other couple there that she was talking to. DH thought he was whispering, but he was drunk so he was actually pretty loud, and he goes 'Thank GOD she is bothering them.' She totally heard him.
