what i would suggest is looking online!! do you know the type of style you like?? (a-liine, princess, mermaid, etc?)

Brides.com has a gallery of a BUNCH of wedding dresses that you can sort by style, designer, neckline, price, etc....

I would suggest looking online...when you have a few dresses you think you want to try on, find out who carries them and go there!!

The dress i found online no one in NYC carried...but i couldnt get it out of my head and wanted to try it on...so i called the designer...turns out the closest location to carry it was conneticut!! i would have never found it otherwise.....

i'm looking for something a-line, strapless that doesn't cut off @ the waist to give it that 2piece looking effect. something with detail both on the top and the bottom. preferably something with pick ups.

i've tried brides.com but nothing has really caught my eye so far. looking for places that have a decent selection similar to what i described. i'm so frustrated jumping from place to place and not even trying anything on because they just don't carry that style.

what place did you (or anyone else) go to in CT?

(adding valentina's, adrienne's, monica's and lotus to my list - does anyone know if they require appts?)

Valentina's in Brooklyn. They have a decent selection of dresses you described and the people are really nice and helpful.
