XPOST: NWR: Affordable/Cheap Times Square Restaurants
I also posted this on the 2010 Brides Board
I just bought tix to see West Wide Story for Mom's Bday and I spend a MINT on the tickets and need to find an affordable/cheap restaurant for dinner. (We'll be four people total) The theater is in Times Square, so anywhere around there would be great. We've all been to Bubba Gump, so that's not really an option.
We typically like Italian, Steak, Thai, Seafood and French.
Any suggestion would be GREAT! Thanks Ladies!

You should try Tony's DiNapoli, its family style and amazing! The prices are really good. http://www.tonysnyc.com/

Trattoria Trecolori is a really good, homestyle Italian near the theatre district.
Virgil's is a little pricey for what it is (IMO).
Also Pam Real Thai is yummy and soo cheap. I think its on like 49 & 9th.

That IS weird...I noticed your suggestion for Carmine's, which is something I also suggested in the x-post of this in the 2010's. Hmm...

Go to Da Rosina www.darosina.com/. The food is excellent and they have a $28 pre-fixe. It includes one appetizer, one entree, a dessert, and coffee/tea per person. It's delicious. They take reservations, so call to make one.

I 2nd this one - if all 4 of you like the same food. Since it is family style you will want to order only 2 entrees.
The food here is AMAZING!

my favorite very affordable Italian - Maria Pia - it's on 51st between 8th and 9th. They have a website - I think it's mariapianyc.com
so yummy and super affordable.

Carmine's! 44th and 8th..family style so you only need to order 2 or 3 dishes for 4 people. The steak is expensive but worth it, especially if you all share. If you are going on a weekend, be ready to wait for a table..a lot of people go after they see a show and they only take reservations for marties of 6 or more. HTH!
