I found dresses I loved at both of these bridal salons.
Any input from girls who used/are using them/etc.?
Another thing...a lot of the dresses at Beautiful Bride (at least that Monica put on me- she was very sweet) appeared to be Alfred Sung...she wrote down the style number of one that I really loved...but not the designer...it was WB692...any idea what designer that could be?
Also, for girls on the small side, did anyone have a problem where the sample dress clipped around you didn't fit the same way as your dress when it came in (and you liked the way the sample dress fell with the clips much better)? One of the two dresses I loved had a corset back and ruching...and I really can't tell how the back is going to look when it comes in in my size...that was another issue I had with my first dress (that I am unhappy with- I'm one of THOSE people). I told the lady at Lillette's my concern about this, and she said that it was because the people at Macy's don't have as much experience as people who've worked at bridal salons for years and clip it wherever they want instead of where it's supposed to be clipped...

Re: Xposted: Beautiful Bride vs. Lillette's
I found my dress at Lillette's..They were very nice to me and helped select dress for my figure...I am NOT on the small side, just the opposite...But even so, they had to clip my dress in order for it to fit close and properly.. She tied the corset back for me and I got an idea of what it will look like... I am very short so the boob area wasn't right, so the clipping actually held it up so it looked ok.
I guess I would look until I found a dress I really love, and get it wherever you are most comfortable...I go for my first fitting 7/24..I will know more then. Happy hunting.

THe sample dress i tried on clipped definitely sat better than the one I ordered. The cups i guess were larger, and just looked better (made me look fuller on top) so when my dress came, the top sat very differently. Thankfully my own seamstress redid a lot to it, overlay d lace etc... and i did put on a really padded bra....

My BMs ordered their dresses from Lilette's. The actual ordering from them was fine. The alterations is a nightmare. They didn't measure my MOH's height and as a result the dress is too short...and the lady was nasty about it! She said 'just get a shorter heel'. We've had so many problems with their alterations.
As far as the sample size is concerned- I had the exact same problem. When I tried on the sample dress it fit me one way. When I went for my first fitting though, the dress looked very different because it actually fit me. The alterations lady is altering it now so it looks more like the original dress I tried on (I got my dress from Macy's)
