I have this problem from time to time. We dated like 8 years ago and he still says weird things to me (I am friends with all of my exes so I keep in touch with them all).

For me it goes in one ear and out the other. And he's getting married this year!! Dirtbag.

Tell him to leave you alone. For me it doesn't matter what my ex says. I'm in my own little love-village with my FH. But i do feel sad that he's going into a marriage while he's still saying crapola like that to me. His poor FW. Who knows if he's saying the same stuff to another woman. I wouldn't be surprised.

are you enjoying his comments? If so, you should reevaluate your relationship with your FH. But if it doesn't matter to you, tell the ex to buzz off.

ETA: I'm also a little concerned about the title of this thread 'X's are like an addiction.' That's a strange way to put it isn't it? From the title it seems like YOU are addicted to the attention from your ex........?

thats what i thought too about the title of the thread and why i said why is this confusing to you...Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

tell him hes a psycho and you dont talk to psycho stalkers and then ignore him ...

besides - you obviously already have the best thing to ever happen to you at your side!!

(maybe he can throw down with the ex for you )

i think you really know what to do-just listen to your gut. if something is bothering you that you cant just brush it off like its nothing, i would really evaluate my relationship. when you find your FH, the ex-factor shouldnt be a thought. good luck and i hope you make the right choice.

Re: X's are like an addiction

oh i had this problem right before FH proposed. My ex and I were still living in the dorm rooms when I first started dating FH and he would try to come to my room and stuff- and my roomies would always get mad at him and tell him to piss off brefore i even could at times

but then i moved out of the dorms my 3rd year in school as did he-- and his apt was only like 10 blocks from mine and he was always iming me online and asking to hang out cause we havent seen each other in so long....he got the point after i told him like 5 times that i am in love with FH and would never even think about getting back with him even if FH wasnt in the picture cause of what he was like to me...

but then FH proposed this past Oct. and all of a sudden he was telling my good friend that he still thought he loved me and that i was the only good girl for him-- WHAT

lol but my friend told him off and i also did and nothing since!!!!

Re: X's are like an addiction

sorry i didnt really give an answer---but i think you should think about how you feel regarding him and his comments and calls...

then make a decision from there as to whether to keep talking to him--but definitely if you reevaluated your relationship with FH talk to him

Tell him youre getting married and never talk to him again. Change your number if thats what you need to do! X drama is not worth it!!

I had the same issue with an ex that was married and now has 2 kids....he kept calling me wanting to spice things up. No thanks! I first answered, but once I found out what he wanted, I told him that I just lost all respect for him. SOmeone that can't respect his wife, his kids or even himself is no one I want anything to do with. He got the idea after that.

I had almost the very same issue except he wasnt an EX he was just an infatuated friend.....imagine if I really did date him????

Omg this is so true like 3 ex's came out from the woodwork ever since I announced my engagement...it's like what the fk is this your last chance? NO its too late. Change your phone rt now. Don't give him the time of day...don't give him any kind of contact...that's what they want that's more time taken away from your FH. Don't let it happen. Your FH should be your addiction!!

Don't let this stress u out. There will be so many other stressful things when you plan your wedding. He's an ex for a reason and you're marrying FH for a reason.
