Are you girls have an 'adult only' wedding or will the little ones be joining the party? Explain your reason for either.

Re: *~Y is for Youngins~*
I will def probably have a few. My FG is only going to be 4 and RB our nephew will be 7 and then FH has a cousin who lives in CT and i dont know if she will bring her oldester daughter who will be i think 4 or 5 and she is preggers with another baby. I really dont mind. Kids sometimes do cute things at weddings. I dont really think Ive been to a wedding where kids were really out of control. But in my family most of the time everyone leaves the babies at home.

Anyone who has read my past rants knows...adults only. Kids tend to take the spot light and it's a lot of money to pay for chicken fingers and fries. So no kids for me.

were not having any kids at the wedding probably just because no one in my immediate family has little kids, but i dont think i would want them there anyways, weddings are formal and babies scream and kids run around! no kids!

We are having kids.
They're family. I love them. It wouldn't be complete without them.
I have about 15 first cousins under the age of 14. How could I even think of not inviting them?
FH has a niece and nephew too. It was never even a question for us to invite kids or not.

Adult only for me. My cut-off is weird. It's set for 16, but I have a cousin that will be 13 and eats like a 25yr old so I'm not concerned about the plate count. What bothers me was the fact that her mother (my second cousin) invited themselves by posting it on my website.
Other than that drama, there will be my FG and Jr. GM (5 and 10 respectively)

I'm allowing my teenage cousins and my FH 10 cousin because she is the only young on on his side. When asked my reply will be not one under 13. I really don't care if people get mad. I don't want screaming, tantrumong kids who will more than likely attempt to stick their hands in my cake there. Additionally I decided against ring bearers and flower girls to eliminate the drama.

The only children will be the ones from our family (which is a total of 4 under 6 + 2 between 10-13)
Otherwise we are not having children
One reason is because if we added friends children that would be +40 and our room is the smallest so we would have a reason to limit the number of people

Re: *~Y is for Youngins~*
adults only except for the wedding party FG and RB.
It's going to be a late evening wedding, and our families don't have a whole lot of kids, so adults are invited only.

We will have limited kids there. Kids of very close relatives. I don't mind kids there, but I don't want it to be overrun with kids, and kids under 10 are half price, which is still $65++ and kids over 10 are full price, so it become really expensive.
that's so crazy that kids over 10 are full price-I'm finding most halls do that; but still a 14 year old isnt going to drink; why should we have to pay for the open bar costs for them??
Some halls take off the open bar charge for teens but you have to ask for it. So instead of 65 it would be 55 but still it's alot for a kid.

thanks-i'm gonna check w/the RH-not that it makes a difference; but why pay full price-we're going to have (2) 14 year olds; & (2) 10 year olds That's 4 reduced prices LOL!

Re: *~Y is for Youngins~*
I'll admit that at first I really didn't want kids at the wedding. I wanted it to be an opportunity for our friends to relax and let loose. But a couple of our friends have told us in passing conversation that they are looking forward to our wedding weekend and they are going to make a mini vacation out of it and bring their kids to the Zoo & Sea World, etc. So now I kind of feel like we have no choice. We won't have many and they will all be around 10 so they should be able to occupy themselves. We did decide to make a cut off as for which kids. Kids that we see all the time, have over to our house are in, kids that we just know of are out, as well as an age cut off. We don't have any family with children, just friends. We can't really afford to have everyone's kids.
