We don't want to stray too far from our church (Huntington), any suggestions/reommendations? We have visited Centerport Yacht Club (nice, but wierd room set up). Northport Yacht Club (great location and beautiful facility, but too small) The Bay Club in Huntington (a definite possibility) and drove by the Sewhanaka (sp?) on Centre Island (awesome views and nice facility - need to call for additional info).

I'm not sure if Port Jefferson (Harbor Hills) Country Club is too far - It is about a 40min drive from Huntington. I also know there are several in the Glen Cove area but I'm not sure of the names.
This place is right on the water and if quite beautiful.

Did you check out Coindre Hall? I know it isn't a country/yacht club but it is a beautiful french chateau on the water in Huntington.
I forgot one more (also not a country/yacht club) - What about the Vanderbuilt mansion/planetarium in Centerport (right near the Centerport yacht club)?
Is this Karen from Oceanside ? I have been to Thatched Cottage to look and it was beautiful.
