Exactly! The dictionary says

objective
expressing or dealing with facts or conditions as perceived without distortion by personal feelings, prejudices, or interpretations

So, there!

was it silly when the yanks swept boston and oct2004bride called out the met fans??

That was before this thing got way out of control...but hey I dont actually mind all this, just playing along, so mock the Yankees all ya want, Means nothing till October comes around...we will see what happens then...

no no, my friend.. this is what we call payback for the many barbs (and sandras) that were thrown at the Mets.. (get it?.. haha).

one of them I remember clearly. it said --'why wait to insult the Mets Monday when we can do it today...'

and these shall continue until a WS Champion is crowned. Hail the Metropolitans!

Vengeance is OURS!!!!! muhahahahahaha

All in good fun,
OG

SURE...whatever you say....Actually though when us Yankee fans see moves like that by our players, it undermines anything you Yankee haters say and trutfully...the proof is in the actions...so call him a wuss...the videotape says otherwise

The Jeter catch was good, but all if he had injured somebody he would be getting sued right now.

posada's shoes were magnetized in the dirt.. in an evil scheme hatched by the mets to get a cheap out.. you can't argue with this one.. hehe

Ok...enough...everytime the ynak's lose we are gonna have the yank's lost threads and everytime the mets lose ( a lot more I might add...sorry had to say it) do you want us posting, oh the mets lost threads? Gonna get out of hand

trying to keep up here ...

you see Donna, that's the main difference between Yankee and Mets fans .. esp on these boards. We do not feel the compelling need to created 100s of posts dailys that exclaim 'OOH the METS LOST today' (since our fingers would be broken everytime we did that thru the season) or begin threads say 'YAHOO THE YANKEES WON' (since we are used to being winners and this is so not a big deal for us , overall..)

Mets fans are strutting around with a false sense of security right now about their team.. We'll let them have their moment. I do think it'll be verrrry quiet at that minor league ballpark in Queens come October, however

ROFL! Yankee Stadium's has some of the closest walls in all of baseball. I can hit a HR in that park.

its an easy target to complain about the Bronx and the Stadium .. give it your best shot and comment all you'd like -- it certainly wouldn't be anything we haven't heard before

I'd take 1000 games at Yankee Stadium ANYDAY over one game at Shea -- I guess I'm really not big on that whole 'airport' ambiance that marks the experience of sitting at a Mets game. I'll save sort of thing for when I'm actually travelling

The only minor league ball park we have is for the Brooklyn Cyclones who have also dominated the Staten Island Yankees.

Thats assuming you make it to Yankee Stadium ALIVE to actually see the game. Have you ever checked out some of the surrounding real estate? Not pretty.

wearing a band aid less then a week after getting 7 stiches in his chin. Yeah that means wuss in my book.

I really don't think you have a leg to stand on calling Jeter a wuss, a cry baby, or anything like that right now. How many players would be in the lineup the very next night?

You're really reaching here...

Shea stadium really is not in too much of a better area. Have you ever walked around the streets there? It's not like you're walking through Garden City.

My theory is that he was reincarnated as Paul O'Neill after he retired, big baby that he is.

Its not nearly as bad as Yankee Stadium. The difference is... there really isn't anything around Shea Stadium. You have the auto yards right next to the stadium... but you also have beautiful Flushing Meadows Park on the other side... as well as the US Tennis Center. The closest towns would be Corona and Flushing, which isn't nearly as bad as the South Bronx.

Let's compare the 2 parks in dimensions:

Shea Stadium:

Left Field Line: 338 feet
Right Field Line: 338 feet
Center Field: 410 feet
Power Alleys: 378 feet

Yankee Stadium:

Left Field Line: 318 feet
Right Field Line: 314 feet
Center Field: 408 feet
Left Center: 399
Right Center: 385

So I'll give you that a ball hit right down the line-which is seldom-is easier in Yankee Stadium. Other then that the stadiums are pretty even and it looks like it's harder to hit a ball out in Yankee stadium for right and left center.

Still think you can hit a ball out?

I 100% agree that Shea stadium is in a better area, but it's still not a great area. I wouldn't be talking too much smack about the area around Yankee stadium when Shea isn't much better off.
