Re: Yankees Fans....
I really thought they would sign him but maybe he really wanted to be back in Texas with his family?! Now what - they still don't have a back up first basemen now that they traded nick johnson -

Re: Yankees Fans....
There was an amuzing article in the Boston papers yesterday about how upset Nomar was when he came back from his HM with Mia Haim that the red sox were going to get rid of him for A-ROD and he was soo pissed! How fitting!!!

I just heard that the deal could fall apart if the Yankees make a last ditch effort. So really at this point it is just a rumor
BUT it could happen

Re: Yankees Fans....
If this does happen I am going to write a letter of protest to Steinbrenner!!! What the heck is he thinking????? Pettitte is one of the winningest pitchers in baseball and it is not a coincidence that Pettitte coming up to the big leagues and the Yankees winning streak go hand in hand!! I am sick, sick sick!

Re: Yankees Fans....
Um, this is not a definite signing ladies. The Astros have made him an offer that he is considering. He has also contacted the Yankees today to try and get a better offer from them because he wants to stay in NY.
Yes he's from Texas. Yes this move would put him closer to his family. But the Astros offered him a 30 million 3 year contract. I think the Yankees can match that if Andy wants to stay a Yankee.
Don't cry yet. I think George will make him the offer he wants.
