If anybody is taking yaz , i really need your advice now I got a prescription for yaz today, and if I decide to start on it, I have to do it tomorrow ( first Sunday after period).
I am really confused I want to get my eriod under control and not have it on my wedding day, but I am also scared if it is going to screw up my body cycle
Please tell me what kind of side affects( if any) you had while on yaz.

Re: Yasmini/Yaz question..please help........
have you been on the pill before? if you haven't it takes several months for your body to become accustomed to the hormones.

Re: Yasmini/Yaz question..please help........
during the first month I had a little queasiness, nothing near what I had experienced on other pills. The first month your cycle may be a little off because of your body getting accustomed to the hormones, which also caused some menstrual cramps, though to a less degree than I have experienced normally. So far I haven't had any major problems, and I have been on it for 4 months now.

Re: Yasmini/Yaz question..please help........
Everyone's body reacts differently, I had major problems with Yaz, my emotions were completely out of wack and I still had issues with my period (which was the main reason why I am on BC-due to PCOS).
I have a friend on it who is fine and RAVES about it. She's never had any problems.
You won't really know for a few months how your body will react though.

Re: Yasmini/Yaz question..please help........
i was nauseaous for about a week- so I started taking it at like 11 pm before I go to sleep. That way I was sleeping during the worst of the nausea.
I also had a tiny bit of spotting, so maybe have a few pantyliners around for a few days.
Other than that, its great, and its helped clear up my skin.

Re: Yasmini/Yaz question..please help........
I never had any problems with it other than it giving me yeast infections EVERY month! But that has happened to me with every single pill I have tried. I have been on every birth control out there, including the patch which was TERRIBLE. OMG! I felt bipolar on that thing. Right now I am using the ring-NuvaRing. Its FANTASTIC! As low a dose as the low dose pills, but the ease of it...you leave it in for 3 weeks then take it out the 4th and get your period. Then you start all over again. ONLY birth control that has not given me crazy mood swings or yeast infections. I totally recommend it.

I am on YAZ and want to get off it SOON! I hate the way it works and have had horrible mood swings and leg cramps!

Re: Yasmini/Yaz question..please help........
every pill will affect each woman differently... so, unfortunately, the experiences of other just can't tell you what will happen to you.
perfect example - someone above said that the nuvaring has been perfect for them. Nuvaring caused ME to have major mood swings, extreme anxieties, and about a week's worth of chain panic attacks - it was like being in h#ll. When I went off of it, I was able to even myself out again.
So, clearly, the experiences of others is no indication how it will be for you!

I have absolutely no side effects with Yaz at all. its been great. but others have said negative things about it. You'll have to just try it and see for yourself.
