I am living down here in Northern VA. SO excited cause all the trees are blooming and its cherry blossom festival time. You should all try to get down here at some point to see it, absolutely beautiful, except crowded.
I am going to try to go today and see the kite festival as well then tonight I am heading back to LI for my spring break

fh i use to go for two years running. DC is really a fav. spot to visit since all museums are free there. I wish we did this year but no money! TAKE PICS!!!

just so you girls know..there's also a Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (in case you can't make the trek down south)...
You can see the cherry blossoms there from April 7 - May 6 Here's the website
Enjoy!! I'm hoping to make it there myself this year!!

and just in case you guys can't get down there...the brooklyn botanical gardens usually has a festival every year with japanese koto performers and exhibits. i've been the last two years and the cherry blossoms are gorgeous there!

awww I have a cheery blossom tree in my front yard! I love it so much! My parents bought it when we moved into our houser and it was smaller than me. We grew up together he-he now it is MUCH taller than me, but I'm trying to convince my parents to take it with us when we move to PA

I was in DC last year for the cherry blossom festival and it was absoulutely gorgeous...I wish that they would stay in bloom longer!!
