yay or nay

ok after work my fh said he is taking me to buy a shower dress lol, so were going to roosevelt field mall and if i dont find something today then sat going to bloomies in the city. I want to have my dress by march bc i know my shower is in march.

OK this will be dejavu for some of you but i was looking on nordstroms site and saw this dress many of us are familiar with and after i kept looking i keep thinking about, its the dress jenlen originally was going to wear for e-pics but then didnt get it.



or i keep seeing this one and like alot, would wear with red peep toe shoes



theres more choices but ive been looking so much i forgot what i saw where lol

i was going to get it in navy blue but yeah still too dark lol, i thought the red shoes would bring some color to it

I actually tried on that first dress and was going to buy it two summers ago for the cruise I went on. If you think the place you are having your shower at is really fancy, then go for it. In person, the fabric of it makes it super-fancy for a short dress. I love the idea of the second one with red peep toes. I think that it's a perfect shower dress and with the red, is a great fashion statement! You can have more fun with accessorizing with it....a red necklace/pendant or bracelet. If it were for your E-party I'd say the first one....it's gorgeous!

Why no black to a shower? It's a very common thing I see....I was thinking of finding something in black too.

i have no clue but knowing my mom it wont be that casual either, plus i overheard her saying that luckily bc of how the place looks you dont have to do much to decorate it. They probably wont have the first dress in the store so ill see what they actually do have in the stores today. I have seen the first dress in person, i remember saying oh there goes jenlens eparty dress hahaha, i tend to dress up lol so for me its fine...knowing me id just wear that out on a nice summer day with nowhere special to go hahaha

Hmmm i do want to wear these new earrings my mom bought me for my birthday. What i really want is a vintage style 50's dress, i want to go downtown in the city to look for one but im afraid to wait

I was going to say the same thing. I wore black to my shower, it's totally fine to wear black. I wear black to parties, showers, dinners, everything.

I LOVED that dress when I tried it on too!!!! It is so girly and fun!!! Hopefully they'll have something at Roosevelt Field that you'll like. I'm trying to think...I could've sworn that they opened up a vintage/retro place..maybe it was within a department store. Also try Urban Outfitters..sometimes they have suprisingly nice and vintage stuff.

What are the earrings your mom bought you like??

I know, iloved it since then. why didnt i buy it when i saw it

well im looking for options if i cant find the look i really want. I want a vintage 50's-60's dress, with peep toe shoes, cardigan and pearls

they're gold earrings, and theyre these art deco long dangly earrings, well oval with another shape, hard to describe hahaha
