Yay- or Nay

I come from a very irish family-- 100%

I have an idea and please knock it down if it sounds crazy.

The room we have at the CB we can enter from the floor. FH and I like the idea BUT we both agreed we always dreamed of being annouced and running into the room together. So we don't think we want to do that. I wanted to do some tradiational irish jig. What do you think of me and my MOH (who is also Irish) coming from the floor doing a jig after dinner to get the party started again. I know my whole family would join in too. How does that sound>? Any ideas? Feedback?

I think it sounds very cute - as long as you'll be able to do that in your dress! lol - are you changing into a second dress for the 'dance party' portion of the reception?

I know I was thinking that too- IDK maybe just change for the dance?? That's my only worry

i think thats a great idea!!! and especially if you know your family would join in and love it im sure it would work out perfect then!! thats something different that prob people would remember at ur wedding!

I think it would defiantly have to depend on if my dress is easy to get in and out of. We could probably just throw on a kilt and switch out right after. I have one cousin who does the bag pipes who already offered to do something. I could have her enter in the door as we come up.

AM i getting crazy?

Haha FH and I both Irish step dance, also. He would've punched me in the mouth if I suggested it. But I LOVE the idea! I think you should do it as long as FH is down!

ETA: You can even come up out of the floor jigging if you want. LOL!

We would come from the floor- but it would be me and some of my bridesmaids.. Not FH- I think i would do it as a suprise for him- he would get a kick out of it
