He got a big promotion yesterday and a 20% raise...its funny bc his boss left him a voicemail on friday and he hadnt spoken to him so he thought it was something bad, then monday he was so nervous going to see him lol...FH is an engineer and he will be the project manager at jobs...He works in the city now but they're giving him the LI jobs to be in charge of...Which now is even more confusing with where we'll live...We thought we'd stay in queens for a little while longer but with his job in LI we might move there sooner than expected. I want the beginning of nassau bc im so used to live just 10 mins away from the city and everyone i know is here...FH wants massapequa, and after looking at listings yesterday the prices and taxes are so much better so might have to consider it.
I work in jersey city though so for me it makes my commute even worse than it is now and its long enough so gotta see whats going to happen.

Congratulations. Nassau is not far at all. Plus if you want a house eventually, you will be able to get a bigger house than in queens. I know I love so many things about queens i'll be seriously scared if we move out of nyc. But you're a team and there will be so many compromises in the future.

No nassau is not far, i live just a few mins away from nassau...Massapequa is a little further than i would have liked but Fh really wants to move there and we know alot of people there, he has a bunch of friends there that he knows since college...Fh laughs at me bc ill say how about Douglaston or little neck, hes like thats practically Queens lol...but we still have time, we dont plan on moving RIGHT NOW

yeah thats what im thinking about...I wouldn't do this though until after the wedding...theres a couple things i had in mind about doing before we got engaged that had to get pushed back bc of all the expenses for the wedding...But these are great business opportunities and i would love to go for it after the wedding, plus it would be ideal for when we have kids to have our own business that i can take care of

yeah from where i live now its close to douglaston just a few exits away, seriously takes 10 mins. Plus its a real nice neighborhood, expensive but nice lol.
Yeah it will definitely help especially since FH is currently paying off his college loans, he pays $1200 a month towards his loans so he can finally pay it all off and thats not including all his other bills...He starts the new position in sept-october so he has to wait a little bit but it will still help especially towards the end when we have to pay off everyone lol

That is such great news, tell fh congrats, Oh, by the way I live very, very close to MAssapequa and I know its far from where you are right now, But there are some beautiful shops, restaurants and a whole bunch of everything else there. I think if you moved you would really end up liking it.

Thank you so much...Yeah massapequa is nice nothing against it seriously...Fh likes massapequa bc alot of his friends live there, we go there alot to see them, go to restaurants, bars there and it is a very nice neighborhood, i do like it...Its just hard to make that move thats it...For me its harder bc my parents separated a few years ago and its hard to leave my mother by herself and then also to be far away is hard. My dad lives in the same building well he moved in not too long ago lol yes i know very weird, they hang out all the time and are still great friends, its hard to explain but its one of those things that work but weird to understand if you arent around it. I think it makes it hard for me bc of my mom

don't worry denise - i understand. i feel the same way about my parents. My parents are older ( in their 60s) and I am the baby, I feel like I should be taking care of them ( even though, thank God, they don't need any help at all) but I feel like I should always be close by!
