He got a big promotion yesterday and a 20% raise...its funny bc his boss left him a voicemail on friday and he hadnt spoken to him so he thought it was something bad, then monday he was so nervous going to see him lol...FH is an engineer and he will be the project manager at jobs...He works in the city now but they're giving him the LI jobs to be in charge of...Which now is even more confusing with where we'll live...We thought we'd stay in queens for a little while longer but with his job in LI we might move there sooner than expected. I want the beginning of nassau bc im so used to live just 10 mins away from the city and everyone i know is here...FH wants massapequa, and after looking at listings yesterday the prices and taxes are so much better so might have to consider it.
I work in jersey city though so for me it makes my commute even worse than it is now and its long enough so gotta see whats going to happen.

thank you...Yeah i do like it and i know they also have a great school system so that is a bonus...Thank you ill keep that in mind, FH's good friend who lives in massapequa actually is a mortgage broker so well see...I dont plan on moving now, thing is i have an apartment so gotta see about that and what well do...FH even said before he would want to stay in the apartment in queens maybe for a while, he wouldnt mind the commute...Well have to talk about this alot before we decide lol.

congrats. I am from on the south shore near the queens line, lynbrook. It was a good area to grow up and only a 25 min train ride to nyc. North shore LI near the queens border is super nice too
yeah i was looking online at MSLI? is that it yeah i think so to look at prices in a bunch of different neighborhoods, check out the houses and all that. Fh doesnt necessarily want to move as soon as he starts this position, he would drive to work and its against the traffic, plus he doesnt even have to put miles on his own car, bc they will give him a company car to drive to and from work

Congrats Denise I thought I would never leave NYC. I've been here all my life, that's all I know. I've always had a hard time with change but this change is a good change for you and FH.

thank you so much...I have nothing against LI, i do like it and used to go out to LI all the time, it has nothing to do with the area...for me its just being away from my family and friends and lifestyle is just a bit different but not that much...one thing we also have to think of alot and most importantly is about wheres the best place to raise our children ya know, i mean honestly no matter where you go now its hard...You can go to nice quiet rich neighborhoods, have you met those kids? when they're teenagers theyre all spoiled coke heads, or middle class quiet neighborhoods they are so bored with nothing to do that they do drugs, ive always seen it, city again same thing lol...but still have to consider great school systems and environment they will live in, we cant just think of ourselves anymore
